Vinous 96 points! Highest ever, we think...and $32.95, with free ground shipping on 3+ bottles!! You know our deep, passionate love for Ridge wines, and this is a colossal no-brainer if you love beautifully made, big-yet-balanced old-school, old-vine Petite. We can’t believe the price! Now, the review said “stunning” twice, so he must be as stunned and gobsmacked as we are when you consider $33, free ground shipping on 3, the score and, well, RIDGE!! Our deep love affair with this winery goes back, on a personal level, to the year 2000, when I was 50/50 on taking a job up there at the Monte Bello winery tasting room manager. I was deeply torn. I met and drank an old bottle of Lytton Petite Sirah (‘86 I think) with Paul Draper (THE Paul Draper). Anyway, I ended up selling wine online and the rest is history. BUT...RIDGE. I’m deliriously happy. It is an American original, an American classic. The oldest vines in this wine are from 1901. I promise, a worthy wine to age and drink for decades to come. PLEASE, please, people, you NEED to try some chili or roast pork to tame this amazing beast. While it lasts!
