Coffee Rubbed Cheeseburgers

Ingredients

  • 1 lb - Ground beef
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 slices of american cheese
  • 2 burger buns
  • Your favorite choice of toppings and condiments

Coffee Rub

  • 1 tbsp - Freshly ground coffee
  • 1 tbsp - Brown sugar
  • ½ tbsp - Paprika
  • 1 tsp - Ground coriander
  • 2 tsp - Salt
  • 2 tsp - Ground black pepper

Preparation

  1. Preheat your grill at about 450°F and place a grill mat covering half of your grilling surface (you can use a cast iron skillet instead);
  2. Make two beef patties of about ¾ inch thick, then mix all the coffee rub ingredients together and sprinkle generously on both side of the beef patties;
  3. Grill the beef patties for about 5 to 6 minutes per side while cooking the bacon on the grill mat. Add the eggs on the grill mat after 5 min of cooking;
  4. Stack the cheese, eggs and bacon over each burger and add your favorite choice of toppings and condiments.
